When Lindsey, Corey and I started throwing around ideas for their upcoming engagement session back in February, the one idea that I proposed was to have the shoot in a place that was meaningful to them, and since they don’t live in the Washington, D.C. area, there’s not much here that was as important to them as something close to home. We exchanged a few more emails back and forth with more specifics about times and places until finally, last weekend, I drove up to NYC to shoot their engagement session. We spent the majority of our time walking around, laughing and possibly even a little goofing off (and getting lost) in Central Park, eventually finding the spot where Corey first proposed. Afterwards, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner at a Mexican restaurant overlooking the Hudson and the gorgeous night time New York City skyline.
In just over a month, I will be shooting their wedding at the beautiful Antrim 1844 Estate in Taneytown, Maryland and if spending 5 hours with them in NYC is any indication, it will be an amazing time.
