Kira & Erskin are just plain awesome. I actually met them through another couple I photographed, Marcella & Eric, who you might remember from their gorgeous Vandiver Inn wedding in Havre de Grace, MD. Erskin had mentioned that he’d have games at the wedding, but I didn’t quite realize just how elaborate his plan was. At the reception in the glass pavilion in Antrim 1844, he had set up board and strategy games of all kinds at every table with every guest being assigned a particular game as they would enter the reception. Of course, he created all of the graphic design on all of the stationary as well as the compose the song for his and Kira’s first dance, not to mention that he performed “Locus Iste,” a beautiful classical piece from the composer Josef Anton Bruckner, to start the ceremony. The wedding itself was absolutely amazing. We had abundant sunshine, beautiful autumn foliage and, since the ceremony was held right at 6pm, gorgeous sunset light. Add to that some pretty awesome dancing (including a perfectly executed ‘robot’ by a pretty awesome kid) set to music including the original Tetris soundtrack and you have one incredibly happy photographer. Thanks again for letting me be part of your day and congratulations Kira & Erskin!
