I first met Sonia and Kevin at Sonia’s sister, Stacy’s wedding in DC just over a year ago, and it didn’t take more than a minute of knowing both of them to see not only how awesome both of them were (and they were pretty awesome) but how in love they were, so when they got engaged last December and Kevin shot me an email asking about photographing their wedding at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, to say I was excited wouldn’t even come close. Not only would be a chance to document what was sure to be a beautiful ceremony and a raucous reception, but to do so in gorgeous Southern California, where it was a cool 80 degrees was incredible.
From the rehearsal dinner at the fantastic Vertical Wine Bistro in historic downtown Pasadena on Friday, where Sonia & Kevin were serenaded by Kevin’s mom and an acoustic guitar, to the gorgeous outdoor ceremony and the crazy party (and Ground Control – our incredible live band for the night), to the awesome Luis Godinez, who came along to shoot this with me and definitely helped to make sure this wedding rocked!
It’s going to be hard to show you all the incredible times we managed to pack into a single weekend, but I’ll give it a shot. Hope you enjoy!
