Olivia and Tony got married at the gorgeous Bolger Center in Potomac, Maryland this past weekend, and the day couldn’t have been more amazing. We decided to do a quick portrait session at the nearby Glen Echo Park, where a little girl came up to Olivia while we were waiting in line to get on the carousel and asked to take a photo with her because, in her words, “She looked like a Princess.” What better way to start a wedding? After Olivia and Tony took part in a quick traditional Chinese ceremony of showing appreciation and respect to their parents, and the gorgeous outdoor ceremony out on the main lawn that followed, we get to the best part of the night – the science themed reception! From the atomic numbered table numbers to the centerpieces built out of chemistry glassware to favors in test tubes – this was a science nerd’s dream. From their fog machine enhanced entrance, to some wonderful toasts, ranging from the heartfelt from their parents to the hilarious from the best man and the maid of honor, to finishing off the only last dance that counts, the robot. Of course, no wedding I’ve ever photographed is complete without someone breakdancing, or at least a cartwheel or two, for which I owe Tony my thanks :) Hope you enjoy!
