Several weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be in a position to help out a fellow photographer in need. Natalie Gibbs, a fantastic wedding photographer based in Christiansburg, Virginia, was all set to photograph Anna & Sean’s gorgeous wedding at The Clifton Inn in Charlottesville, when she slipped and broke her wrist. Normally, this would make any further photography next to impossible, but luckily both of us belong to a fantastic network of photographers all over the World, and within half an hour of posting an urgent message asking for available photographers able to help, she had offers from volunteers willing to step in. Luckily, I love traveling, didn’t have a wedding to photograph that weekend and was less than two hours away, so here we are :)
You know a wedding is going to be great when, at the rehearsal dinner, after everyone finished eating, we all went out back for some fun (and embarrassing) story time from Sean & Anna’s relatives and a great bonfire as the night wore on. From then, it only got better, with the girls getting ready at a gorgeous farmhouse right next to The Clifton Inn called Collina Farm, to Anna & Sean’s emotional first look to the amazing reception. These two (and their entire family!) really know how to have a great time. This was an amazing wedding and I am truly glad I go the chance to be a part of it.
Now, on to go the good stuff:
